OUR PASSION FOR DOODLES

We fell in love with goldendoodles in 2012, but the moment we fell in love with breeding in 2018, we knew our mission was to produce healthy, even tempered, and truly beautiful life-changing puppies. Every decision we make is driven by our deep desire to better the breed and bring joy to families.

Our journey is filled with love, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. We pour our hearts into every aspect, ensuring that each puppy embodies the qualities that make them the perfect addition to any loving home.

Being a part of our story means being a part of something truly remarkable. Explore our world and discover the magic of it all.

About the Breed

Imagine the sweet, loyal temperament of a Golden Retriever; the intelligence and focus of a Standard Poodle; all combined into a package that personifies the best dog the world has to offer. They are the ultimate combination of good looks, smart wits, and playfulness. According to PetMD, the goldendoodle is the #1 doodle breed. According to Rover.Com the Goldendoodle is the 3rd most popular breed.

Golden Retrievers are known as loving, friendly dogs. Poodles are considered to be one of the smartest breeds, don’t shed and are very athletic. No wonder that a cross between these two would be desirable! Additionally, because the poodle is considered hypoallergenic, the Goldendoodle is a great choice for families with allergy concerns.

wHAT THEY Can do

  • Producing quality service prospects are the primary focus of our entire program. We specifically breed for the outcome of service dog prospects. I truly believe that some dogs are simply born with a higher calling. We make every reasonable effort to see that calling become a reality.

  • Anything you can do; I can do better…

Both breeds are of a similar mind set. Centuries of breeding for success as a sporting dog leaves no room for doubt. A goldendoodle is up to the task just as much as their purebred ancestry.

Hunting, Agility, Obedience, Dock Diving, Nose work… Just name your sport.

  • All the love and care of the Golden. All the attentiveness and focus of a poodle. Each dog is going to have a different level of what they have to offer in a therapy setting ranging from light - intense emotional needs. Our temperament testing is key in identifying the right dog, and what settings they can excel in.

  • There is no doubt, the goldendoodle makes an ideal family pet. Eager to please, forgiving, attentive and fun. While not every puppy is ideal for your family, you can without a doubt find your “once in a lifetime” match in a goldendoodle.

Myth - “just get a poodle”

Now don’t get me wrong. We have poodles and I LOVE my poodles! But they simply aren’t for everyone. The people loving, openly accepting, goofy and forgiving golden that is added to the mix is priceless.

Myth - Coats are harder to maintain

There are variables that definitely come into play. Coat texture and curl are everything. But these variables come straight from their poodle lines. The golden brings a soft, silky likeness to the coat. The doodle gives us the control to breed less curl. This is why straight, and wavy coats are so popular among breeders. We are looking out for you! These coats are EASIER! They require less brushing and matt less.

Myth - temperaments are unpredicatable

Wrong! You get what you breed. When the temperament of the pawrents, and their lines, are carefully considered, the outcome is completely predictable. A repeat breeding (same pawrents) gives us history of the puppies produced. Lines of the parents give us a history. Every litter is going to have a variety. The excited puppy, the lazy puppy, the snuggly puppy. This is true whether we are talking pure-bred or purpose-bred. This is why temperament testing is important. To identify just “who” each puppy is.

Myth - doodles are hyper

A goldendoodle is a sporting dog. Just like a poodle or a golden retriever. I’ve never seen a goldendoodle as crazy and rambunctious as a golden retriever. I’ve never seen a goldendoodle with more drive and play than a poodle. The exercise needs of the breed should be considered when you select your breed. The temperament of the dog itself should be considered, and if it matches your lifestyle. The goldendoodle is not a hyper or neurotic dog. Any sporting dog is energetic and active dog and will require regular exercise and mental stimulation.

Anything you can do I can do better… My dog can do anything better than yours!

I hear so much MISINFORMATION, let me share the woof-woof facts!

Myth - Doodles can not be ethically bred. All doodle breeders are just backyard breeders (BYB)

By definition - Ethical breeding involves the use of healthy animals true to their species in behavior and physical appearance, and when applicable, showing a sustainable performance. Quality breeders would say it’s the act of health testing. The consideration of structure and temperament. That it is about breeding purposefully.

Backyard breeding (BYB) is the irresponsible breeding of animals in inadequate conditions with insufficient care, often by people with little experience or knowledge. When irresponsible breeding is carried out on a large scale, the term puppy or kitten farming is used.

Any breeder, of any breed, whether pure-bred or purposeful-bred can be found on either side of the line. Every breed has both ethical and unethical breeders, BYB, puppy mills. It’s up to the buyer to properly vet their breeder.

Myth - Doodles are ruining breed preservation. They are Ruining Lines.

The purists or “breed snobs” are very vocal about their opinions. They are quick to spread any misinformation they can. Our “parent breeds” Poodles and Goldens are at no risk, and therefore need no preservation. My well-bred breeding stock produce doodles. My studs are available to all kinds of doodles. This doesn’t mean that they won’t ALSO produce pure-bred poodles or goldens. The future of a quality line of either goldens or poodles do not lye solely in the hands of my breeding program (or anyone else)

Myth - Quality breeding stock isn’t available to doodle breeders

As much as the haters and the purists want you to believe that this is true - it’s just not. Poodle and Golden breeders alike are making their lines available to responsible, ethical breeders. Our breeding stock alone proves it. Our dogs prove themselves in the conformation ring, as well as earning performance and temperament titles.

Adopt, don’t shop Propaganda.

This mentality is harmful to the future of not just our breed but to the future of all breeds!

Temperament testing and considering “who” the dog is and if this dog is a good match for your home greatly reduces the need to re-home a pet. But still sometimes things beyond our control means re-homing a pet. Responsible and ethical breeders take responsibility for each puppy produced and are always willing to take the dog back or assist in finding a new quality home. Their contract states that a puppy they’ve produced may never be surrendered to a shelter.

So where do all the shelter dogs come from?

If responsible breeders are taking surrenders back into their own homes, then that only leaves the puppy mills and backyard breeders supplying puppies to homes that end up in the shelter. The #1 reason people surrender their dog - a bad temperament match.

Shelter dogs still need and DESERVE a home!

If you have the skill set, proper home environment, and time to help a shelter dog - please adopt. Not every home is right for a shelter dog. They come with the unknown. Unknown triggers or aggressions. Unknown health issues that will end up being expensive. An unexperienced dog home does not have the skills to rehab an aggressive or reactive dog. A home with small children is at risk of an unprovoked attack because of an unknown trigger.

People will continue to buy puppies. AND THAT’S OK! The agenda here should include taking $ out of the hands of puppy mills and BYB. Supporting responsible breeders will in fact reduce the # of dogs that end up in the shelter and ensure that the future of our breeds stay healthy and true to standard.

There are no bad dogs, just bad matches
