Stud Program | Proven Goldendoodle & Poodle Stud Dogs in Oregon
Our stud program at Oregon’s Legendary Goldendoodles is built around structure, temperament, and proven performance. We focus on developing and selecting males that demonstrate not only exceptional health testing, but also real-world ability through titles, trainability, and consistent offspring.
Our goal is to contribute to the advancement of thoughtfully bred Goldendoodles and Poodles by offering stud dogs that bring together genetics, structure, and temperament in a meaningful way.
Located in Springfield, Oregon, we work with select programs throughout Oregon, Washington, California, and beyond.
What Sets Our Stud Dogs Apart
Our males are carefully selected and developed with long-term program goals in mind. We prioritize:
• comprehensive health testing (OFA, PennHIP, cardiac, eye, thyroid, patella)
• genetic screening including coat traits (shedding and furnishings)
• proven structure and movement
• strong, stable temperaments
• trainability and workability
We believe a stud dog should contribute more than genetics — he should consistently produce balanced, capable, and well-structured offspring.
Proven Structure Through Titles
Structure and movement are not just theoretical — they are proven.
Several of our males hold conformation and performance titles, demonstrating:
• correct structure
• efficient, functional movement
• soundness under evaluation
• real-world capability
These titles serve as validation that our dogs meet established standards beyond our own program.
Temperament & Workability
Temperament is a cornerstone of our program.
Our stud dogs are selected for:
• engagement with their handler
• emotional stability
• confidence in new environments
• strong work ethic
• natural ability to learn and adapt
These traits are especially important for producing dogs suited for:
• service dog work
• therapy roles
• advanced training
• active family homes
Families can learn more about how we evaluate temperament through our Temperament Testing page.
Health Testing & Genetic Evaluation
Every stud dog in our program undergoes comprehensive health testing to support long-term soundness and responsible breeding.
This includes:
• OFA hips and elbows
• PennHIP evaluation
• cardiac screening
• eye examinations (CAER)
• thyroid testing
• patella evaluation
• genetic testing (including shedding and furnishings)
We are intentional about selecting for strong furnishings and coat genetics to support more consistent, lower-shedding outcomes in our litters.

Our Approach to Breeding
We do not approach breeding casually.
Each pairing is carefully considered based on:
• structural compatibility
• temperament alignment
• genetic diversity
• long-term program goals
Our focus is not on producing large numbers of litters, but on producing dogs that are:
• well-balanced
• trainable
• structurally sound
• capable in both family and working roles
Working With Our Stud Program
We believe our dogs have a great deal to offer and can contribute meaningfully to other thoughtfully developed programs.
We are open to working with programs that value:
• comprehensive health testing
• sound structure and movement
• stable, trainable temperaments
• long-term program development
Our goal is to collaborate with breeders who are working to produce well-balanced, capable dogs — whether for family companionship, service work, or performance homes.
We are always happy to have conversations and explore whether a pairing is a good fit. We enjoy connecting with other breeders and are always open to discussing shared goals and future possibilities.
Guardian Opportunities
From time to time, we retain males for our future breeding program and place them in carefully selected guardian homes.
Guardian homes receive a pick puppy at no cost while partnering with our program.
Guardian families must:
• live within driving distance of Eugene, Oregon
• provide excellent care and training
• maintain communication with our program
