Crackers is the kind of puppy who genuinely enjoys being part of whatever his people are doing.
Affectionate, people-focused, and naturally relationship-oriented, he combines a sweet temperament with an easygoing approach to daily life. He enjoys exploring, playing, and interacting with his family, but regularly checks back in and seeks connection rather than simply entertaining himself.
One of his favorite activities right now is playing in hose water. Give him a chance to splash around outside and he's convinced you've created the greatest game in the world.
He is also already using the dog door reliably and has developed a strong foundation in potty training when his environment is managed appropriately for his age.
For families looking for a companion who wants to be involved in family life without being overwhelming or demanding, Crackers has a lot to offer.
Crackers comes from a pairing that was intentionally selected to produce affectionate, people-focused family companions.
He has inherited many of the traits we value most in our program: a strong desire to connect with people, a naturally social personality, and an easy ability to integrate into everyday family life.
His father, Boone, is especially known for his affectionate nature and genuine enjoyment of being around people, and we see many of those same qualities developing in Crackers.

Live Outside Oregon?
Families from more than 20 states have welcomed one of our puppies home.
If you're wondering how bringing home a puppy from Oregon works, we can help you think through pickup, flights, trusted flight nannies, or one of our scheduled delivery trips.
Ready for Summer Adventures
Crackers has already received his first three puppy vaccinations and is only a few weeks away from completing his core puppy vaccine series.
This is one of our favorite ages. He is old enough to begin participating in family life while still young enough to benefit from all the experiences, adventures, and socialization opportunities that come with a summer spent together.
Whether that means camping trips, lake days, family barbecues, patio lunches, neighborhood walks, or simply playing in the backyard, Crackers is ready to start making memories with his new family.
One of his favorite activities right now is water play. Turn on the hose and he's convinced you've created the greatest game in the world.
Combined with his affectionate personality, strong social connection, and growing potty-training foundation, Crackers is at a wonderful age to begin building the relationship that will last for years to come.
Why Families Are Drawn to Crackers
exceptionally affectionate and cuddly
gentle, relationship-oriented personality
emotionally connected without being overwhelming
soft, polite interaction style
socially engaged and people-focused
playful while still calm and easy to live with
Families familiar with Boone will likely recognize some familiar qualities in Crackers. While every puppy develops into their own individual dog, Crackers shares Boone's affectionate nature, people-focused personality, and desire to remain connected with his family.
He has always been a puppy who notices people, values interaction, and genuinely enjoys companionship.
Personality & Temperament
Crackers has a very emotionally soft and socially affectionate personality.
Throughout evaluations, he consistently demonstrated:
loose, relaxed body language
gentle social engagement
affectionate interaction
strong desire for companionship
healthy curiosity and exploration
calm emotional connection with people
He repeatedly returned for:
snuggles
kisses
calm proximity
social reassurance and interaction
One of the things that makes Crackers especially appealing is how naturally polite and emotionally connected he is.
Unlike puppies who become overly pushy or physically demanding during excitement, Crackers consistently maintained soft interaction patterns and calm social behavior.
He enjoys people very genuinely.
Living With Crackers
Crackers appears naturally suited for:
calm companion homes
emotionally supportive families
homes wanting a cuddly, affectionate dog
relationship-oriented households
families wanting a socially connected companion
homes emphasizing gentle guidance and confidence-building
He is likely to especially enjoy:
cuddling and companionship
toy-based interaction
calm social engagement
involvement in everyday routines
gentle play and interaction
Crackers feels like the kind of dog who naturally wants to stay close to his people and emotionally connect with daily family life.
Confidence & Emotional Style
Crackers is emotionally soft in a very genuine way.
He is not emotionally fragile, but he does appear more sensitive to pressure, uncertainty, and repeated expectation than some of the more naturally bold puppies in the litter.
When unsure, he tends to:
seek reassurance
decompress briefly
reconnect socially
and recover through interaction and support
Importantly, he consistently demonstrated the ability to recover and re-engage after stress rather than shutting down or avoiding interaction long-term.
This softer emotional style will likely thrive best with:
patient guidance
encouragement-based training
calm consistency
positive confidence-building experiences
Areas to Continue Building
Like all puppies, Crackers will continue benefiting from:
confidence-building in unfamiliar situations
persistence through mild uncertainty
handling tolerance and restraint acceptance
resilience during environmental stress
continued exposure to novelty and new environments
emotional regulation during frustration or pressure
He responds best to calm encouragement and thoughtful guidance rather than heavy pressure or overly forceful correction.
With continued support and maturity, Crackers has strong potential to develop into an exceptionally affectionate and emotionally rewarding companion.
Coat & Appearance
About His Coat
Love the Golden Retriever look but not the fur tornado?
Crackers has the coat type we have been intentionally developing in our Ultra Goldendoodle lines.
Unlike the fuller, fluffier appearance many people associate with a traditional Goldendoodle coat, this coat lies much closer to the body and creates a more natural Golden Retriever-inspired look.
One of the things we appreciate most about this coat type is its practicality. In our experience, it is one of the easiest furnished Goldendoodle coat types to maintain.
Families are often surprised by how little day-to-day coat management is required compared to many traditional doodle coats. The coat maintains a natural appearance without the extensive brushing, coat management, and frequent grooming schedules often associated with heavier doodle coats.
We also have an adult Ultra Goldendoodle named Lady who carries this same coat type. Families interested in Crackers are welcome to meet her in person and experience the coat firsthand, as it is often easier to understand in real life than through photos alone.
For families who love the look of a Golden Retriever but don't want to live with the constant fur cleanup that often comes with a traditional Golden coat, Crackers represents a unique balance between appearance, practicality, and ease of maintenance.
