Meet Ronald
Some dogs enjoy being around people.
Ronald wants to be part of everything they do.
He is affectionate, social, and naturally connected to his humans. Whether you're relaxing at home, taking a walk, working on training, or simply moving from room to room, Ronald prefers to be included rather than left behind.
He gets along well with people and other dogs and generally approaches life with an easygoing, friendly attitude. His friendly nature and genuine enjoyment of people make him a promising candidate for therapy work, community outreach, and other activities that involve positive interaction with the public.
One of Ronald's most appealing qualities is his willingness to engage. He enjoys interaction, pays attention to his handler, and genuinely likes having a job to do. This combination of trainability and human focus makes him both enjoyable to live with and rewarding to train.
He has accompanied us into public environments and generally handles those situations with confidence and ease. While he has not received advanced obedience or service dog training, he possesses many of the foundational qualities that trainers often look for when evaluating future prospects.
Temperament Overview
Socially Easygoing
Ronald is comfortable around people and integrates well into social situations. He enjoys meeting new people and has the confident, friendly nature many families hope to find in a Standard Poodle.
Affectionate & People-Oriented
Ronald forms strong attachments and enjoys spending time with his family. He is the type of dog who wants to be involved in everyday life and often chooses human interaction over entertaining himself.
Because he bonds deeply with his people, Ronald will do best with a family that values companionship and understands the importance of continuing to build confidence and independence alongside that relationship.
Medium Energy
Ronald has a nice balance between activity and relaxation. He enjoys walks, training sessions, outings, and playtime but is not constantly in motion.
For many families, he represents the sweet spot between high-drive and low-energy.
Strong Handler Focus
Ronald naturally checks in with his handler and enjoys working as a team. His engagement and willingness to participate make him an appealing prospect for therapy work, advanced training, performance activities, and service dog development.
Big Personality, Big Voice
Ronald comes from vocal lines and has inherited an impressive bark to match his size.
He is observant, expressive, and not shy about making his opinions known. While he is not a constant nuisance barker, prospective homes should understand that Ronald has a large voice and is fully capable of using it when he believes it serves a purpose. For many families this is simply part of his personality and charm, but we believe in being transparent about the traits each dog naturally possesses.

Ronald has already earned his International Honor Champion title and Reserve Best in Show Puppy recognition. We expect him to continue pursuing additional accomplishments, including his UKC Championship and performance titles that showcase both his abilities and his love of working with people.
We are currently seeking the right Guardian Home for Ronald.
Interested in becoming Ronald's Guardian Home?
Exceptionally Intelligent
Ronald is a very smart dog.
Not just obedient smart—problem-solving smart.
He pays attention to patterns, studies his environment, and often figures things out faster than expected.
Over the past year, Ronald has carefully inspected our fencing and identified weaknesses that many dogs would never notice. If there is a spot that needs reinforcing, Ronald is usually the first one to find it.
He has also learned how to open crate doors, requiring us to implement additional security measures to keep him safely contained when necessary.
Perhaps most impressively, Ronald pays attention to cause and effect. He quickly learns what works and what doesn't. For example, he figured out that barking after being sent outside often resulted in being invited back inside.
This level of intelligence is one of Ronald's greatest strengths.
It is also why he thrives with structure, training opportunities, and appropriate mental stimulation. Ronald is not a dog who should be left to create his own entertainment for long periods of time. He enjoys learning, participating, and being given opportunities to use his brain.
For the right family, this intelligence is part of what makes him so enjoyable to live with.
A Dog Who Loves His People
Ronald is deeply people-oriented.
He genuinely enjoys companionship and forms strong attachments to the people he loves. Whether you're working around the house, relaxing in the evening, or heading out for an adventure, Ronald would prefer to be involved than left behind.
This strong desire for connection is one of the reasons we believe he has excellent therapy dog potential and promising service dog potential.
At the same time, Ronald's future family should understand that highly people-focused dogs can sometimes be more prone to separation-related challenges if independence is not intentionally maintained.
This does not mean Ronald currently has separation anxiety.
It does mean that his future family should continue building confidence, independence, and healthy routines so that he remains comfortable both with and without constant human interaction.
Like many intelligent, affectionate dogs, Ronald does best when he feels connected to his family while still being encouraged to confidently navigate periods of separation.
Therapy & Service Dog Potential
While no dog can be guaranteed to succeed in a working role, Ronald possesses many qualities that make him a promising candidate for therapy work and service dog training.
These include:
Strong human focus
Social confidence
Affectionate temperament
Comfort in public environments
Environmental stability
Medium energy level
Natural engagement with his handler
Excellent problem-solving ability
Ronald has been exposed to public environments and generally handles those situations well. He is comfortable accompanying people in public and demonstrates the confidence and social ease that many working dogs require.
His training to date has focused primarily on house manners, socialization, life skills, and becoming a well-rounded companion. He has not yet received extensive formal obedience training or service dog task training.
For families interested in therapy work, advanced obedience, service training, or other structured activities, Ronald offers a strong foundation upon which additional training can be built.
One area where Ronald particularly shines is his genuine enjoyment of people. His affectionate nature, social confidence, and desire to connect with others make therapy work a natural area of potential interest. Whether visiting hospitals, schools, libraries, nursing homes, or participating in community programs, Ronald possesses many of the qualities that successful therapy dogs often share.
Titles, Activities & Future Goals
Ronald remains an active part of our breeding program.
In addition to earning his International Honor Champion title and Reserve Best in Show Puppy recognition, we anticipate continuing to showcase his abilities through both conformation and performance events.
Our current goals include pursuing:
UKC Championship
Performance titles
Trick Dog titles
Rally or Obedience titles
Therapy Dog certification and related activities
Other activities suited to Ronald's strengths and interests
We believe titles should be meaningful.
Rather than pursuing activities simply to collect ribbons, we prefer to focus on opportunities that align with the individual dog's talents, personality, and enjoyment. Some dogs thrive in conformation. Others enjoy obedience, therapy work, scent work, tricks, or performance sports.
We also recognize that Guardian Homes often have interests and goals of their own.
If Ronald's Guardian family has a particular activity, sport, or title they would enjoy pursuing with him, we are happy to explore those opportunities as well. Some families love being actively involved in training and competition, while others prefer to leave those responsibilities to us.
Either approach is perfectly acceptable.
Our goal is not simply to title Ronald. Our goal is to provide opportunities for him to learn, succeed, and enjoy life while strengthening the bond between dog and handler.
Guardian families are always welcome to participate in shows, classes, training, and title pursuits if they wish. If not, we handle the planning, showing, grooming, entry fees, and title-related expenses associated with our program.
Why Ronald Is Part of Our Program
When selecting future breeding dogs, we look for far more than a pretty face.
We seek dogs that combine temperament, trainability, structure, health, and the ability to thrive as real-world companions.
Ronald represents many of the qualities we value:
Strong human connection
Social confidence
Affectionate temperament
Trainability
Intelligence
Problem-solving ability
Versatility
Stable temperament
Strong public presence
His accomplishments in the show ring are certainly something we're proud of, but what stands out most is who Ronald is day-to-day.
He is the type of dog that enjoys being with people, seeks engagement, and approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Those qualities are every bit as important to us as any title.
What Is a Guardian Home?
A Guardian Home allows a breeding dog to live as a beloved family companion while remaining part of our breeding program.
Rather than living in a kennel environment, our breeding dogs live with carefully selected families where they receive the individual attention, companionship, and daily life experiences that every dog deserves.
Throughout Ronald's time in our program, there will occasionally be times when he returns to us for:
Grooming appointments
Dog shows
Performance events
Health testing
Breeding-related responsibilities
These visits are scheduled in advance whenever possible, and we work closely with our Guardian Homes to make the arrangement successful for everyone involved.
Once Ronald completes his role in our program, full ownership transfers to his Guardian Home.
For many families, a Guardian Home offers the opportunity to own an exceptional dog while partnering with a breeding program they trust.

Ronald's Ideal Home
Ronald will thrive in a home that enjoys having a dog actively involved in daily life.
He is not looking for a family that simply wants a dog in the background. He genuinely enjoys companionship, interaction, and opportunities to engage with his people.
His ideal family will appreciate both his affectionate nature and his intelligence. Ronald is the type of dog who notices details, learns patterns quickly, and enjoys using his brain. Families who enjoy training, adventures, problem-solving, or simply including their dog in everyday activities will likely find him especially rewarding.
Ronald may be an excellent fit for:
✔ Families wanting a highly affectionate companion
✔ Homes interested in training and engagement
✔ Individuals interested in therapy work or service dog development
✔ Families who enjoy intelligent, interactive dogs
✔ Homes looking for a social Standard Poodle
✔ Families wanting a dog actively involved in daily life
✔ People who appreciate a dog with personality, opinions, and a sense of humor
Ronald may be less ideal for:

✘ Homes where he would routinely spend long hours alone
✘ Families wanting a low-engagement companion
✘ Homes that do not enjoy ongoing training and mental enrichment
✘ Families who prefer a quiet dog with little to say
The right family for Ronald will view his intelligence, affection, and desire to participate as some of his greatest strengths.
