Life with Dinglehopper is going to be interactive.

He's playful, optimistic, and naturally motivated to participate in whatever is happening around him. Rather than waiting for someone else to create the fun, he seems to assume there's already something exciting about to happen.

What impressed me most was his balance.

He loves toys without becoming obsessed by them. He enjoys people without demanding constant attention. He notices the world around him without becoming overwhelmed by it.

That combination makes him an easy puppy to imagine living with. He's energetic enough to enjoy adventures, training, and games, but emotionally balanced enough to settle once those needs have been met.

Much of that confidence begins long before families take their puppies home. Our puppies are raised through a structured early development curriculum designed to build resilience, curiosity, and healthy responses to new experiences. Working Potential

Dinglehopper has many of the qualities that make advanced training enjoyable.

His outstanding toy drive, confidence, motivation, and emotional stability create an excellent foundation for activities where learning is built through play. I think he'd be especially well suited for Rally, obedience, scent work, agility, dock diving, Fast CAT, and many other performance sports.

I also think he'd enjoy having a job simply because he enjoys participating.

While he has nice human focus, his greatest reinforcement is often the activity itself. That makes him a wonderful candidate for sports and active companionship, while still giving him many of the traits I like to see in working dogs.

What I Loved

I loved how naturally motivated this puppy is.

You don't have to convince him to participate.

You simply make something available, and he's immediately invested.

Throughout the evaluation he happily tugged, searched for hidden toys, carried them proudly around the room, and enthusiastically solved problems to get them back.

Another moment that really stood out happened during Gubbins' evaluation.

As I comforted Gubbins, Dinglehopper became determined to join us. He seemed to feel that whatever was happening, he should probably be involved too.

What I appreciated most was his balance.

He noticed the emotional moment, wanted to participate, and then moved on without becoming emotionally overwhelmed.

One Thing I'd Continue Building

If Dinglehopper were staying here, I'd spend a lot of time rewarding calmness.

Not because he's out of control. Because enthusiasm is one of his greatest strengths.

I'd teach him that relaxing is part of the game too. Practice settling on a mat. Reward choosing to relax.

Teach him that sometimes the game pauses before it starts again.

Puppies with this kind of natural enthusiasm often become incredibly easy adult dogs once they understand there are times to work and times to simply enjoy being still.

Living With Dinglehopper

Life with Dinglehopper is going to be fun.

He's the kind of dog that wants to go hiking, attend training class, chase a ball in the backyard, ride along on errands, or proudly carry a toy from room to room simply because it makes him happy.

His strong prey drive makes toys incredibly valuable during training, while his moderate intensity keeps him emotionally balanced and easy to redirect. He has enough energy to enjoy an active lifestyle without feeling frantic or overwhelming.
