ndee and Whiskey welcomed six Standard F1 Goldendoodle puppies on September 25—three boys and three girls. The litter is predominantly black and phantom, with one puppy keeping us guessing. That puppy may develop into sable or brindle as the coat changes over the coming weeks. Time will tell.
This pairing brings together the easy, affectionate nature of the Golden Retriever with the intelligence, trainability, and working ability of the Standard Poodle. We planned it specifically for people-focused, confident puppies with calmer working temperaments—dogs who can settle comfortably into everyday family life but are ready to engage when there is something to do.
With Andee's calm, social temperament and Whiskey's extensive working background, we'll be watching this litter closely for service and working prospects, while also identifying puppies whose strengths make them better suited as family companions.
The puppies will be raised through our complete puppy-development program and individually temperament tested before families make their selections. That gives us time to learn who each puppy actually is and help families choose based on temperament and lifestyle—not simply color or gender.

Meet Andee
AKC Golden Retriever
Andee is the kind of Golden Retriever who makes everyday life easy.
She has a calm, affectionate temperament and genuinely enjoys being with her people without needing to be the center of attention all the time. She is social with other dogs, confident exploring new environments, easy to take places, and an exceptionally quick learner.
Andee is also eager to work with you. She is biddable and naturally engaged, but she doesn't need constant direction or entertainment. That balance between connection and independence is particularly important to us in this pairing.
She brings new, unrelated Golden Retriever lines into our program along with the temperament, structure, and trainability we want to continue forward.
Meet Whiskey
Grand Champion Standard Poodle
Whiskey brings a tremendous amount of proven ability to this litter.
He is an International Honor Champion and Grand Champion with titles across multiple performance venues, demonstrating far more than his ability to stand beautifully in a show ring. Whiskey has worked in scent work, Fast CAT, Barn Hunt, racing, trick and temperament venues, and other performance activities.
Those accomplishments tell us something important about the dog behind the pedigree.
Whiskey can learn. He can work with a handler. He can travel into unfamiliar environments, recover from pressure, stay engaged, and perform repeatedly.
He has also produced successful service dogs, making his working history particularly meaningful for what we hoped to accomplish with Andee.
For this litter, Whiskey contributes proven trainability, versatility, human engagement, and working ability while Andee brings the calmer, easy-to-live-with temperament we wanted beside it.
Why Andee × Whiskey?
There is a very specific balance we wanted from this pairing: a dog who wants to work with you without needing to be “on” all the time.
Andee brings a naturally calm, affectionate temperament. She loves being with her people, is social with other dogs, approaches new environments with curiosity and confidence, and is exceptionally easy to live with. She can happily accompany you on an adventure, but she can also settle nearby or entertain herself when nothing is being asked of her.
Whiskey brings proven trainability, human engagement, versatility, and working ability. His long list of titles demonstrates his ability to learn, travel, work in unfamiliar environments, recover from pressure, and repeatedly perform alongside his handler. Even more important for this particular breeding, Whiskey has produced successful service dogs.
Together, they gave us six puppies from a pairing designed for highly people-focused, motivated and trainable dogs while retaining an important off switch.
They should be ready to go when you are—and able to settle when you aren't.
Expected Temperament
Calmer Dogs With a Working Brain
We are breeding this litter with working temperament in mind, particularly service work.
We expect puppies with strong natural human focus, confidence, motivation and trainability. These should be dogs who notice their handler, enjoy participating and want to understand what is being asked of them.
At the same time, we aren't looking to produce dogs who need constant activity.
The temperament we are aiming for is calmer but ready to go: comfortable settling under a desk, relaxing at home or waiting quietly when nothing is happening, then immediately willing to get up and work, train, travel or adventure with their person.
That combination can be incredibly valuable in a service dog. It is also an excellent temperament for an active family that wants a highly trainable companion without feeling as though they have to entertain their dog every waking moment.
We expect this litter to offer service, therapy and other working prospects, as well as exceptional family companions.
Individual temperament will ultimately determine which path is appropriate for each puppy.

Black Standard F1 Goldendoodles
Black is expected to be a prominent color in this litter, and we anticipate a significant number of black F1 Goldendoodle puppies from Andee and Whiskey.
A wavy black Goldendoodle has an especially striking look. The rich, dark coat creates beautiful contrast around the furnishings and expression while retaining the softer, loose coat appearance many families are looking for in a first-generation Goldendoodle.
For families specifically searching for a black Standard Goldendoodle puppy, this is a pairing we are particularly excited to offer.
Additional traditional colors are also expected within the litter.
Color is part of what makes each puppy visually unique, but it will not determine our placement recommendations. Once the puppies are here, we will get to know the individual dog behind each coat.
Wavy, Low-Shedding Coats
Andee × Whiskey puppies will be F1 Goldendoodles, produced from an AKC Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle.
Based on the genetics behind this particular pairing, we expect soft, wavy, low-shedding, hypoallergenic coats.
The goal is that beautiful loose movement many families love in an F1 Goldendoodle rather than a heavily curled appearance. This should be especially striking on the black puppies expected from the litter.
Their coats will still require regular brushing and professional grooming. Beginning grooming exposure early is part of our puppy curriculum so that handling, brushing, nail care and the grooming process aren't completely new experiences after puppies leave us.
Standard Goldendoodle Size
These are Standard Goldendoodles.
We are intentionally producing a true Standard litter for families who want the presence and substance of a larger dog, including those seeking an appropriately sized prospect for certain types of service work.
As the puppies grow, we'll continually evaluate structure and development alongside temperament when helping families make their selections.
Raised With Purpose
Genetics give us the puppy we begin with. What we do with those genetics during the first weeks of life matters too.
Our puppies are raised through a structured curriculum based primarily on Badass Breeder, with elements of Puppy Culture and the practices we have developed through our own experience raising and evaluating puppies.
Beginning during the neonatal period, puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) before progressing into increasingly complex, age-appropriate experiences.
As they develop, we introduce handling, grooming foundations, household sounds, novel surfaces, movement, obstacles, problem-solving opportunities, confinement and crate foundations, appropriate interactions with people and adult dogs, and opportunities to explore unfamiliar situations.
We aren't trying to expose puppies to every possible thing they might encounter in their lifetime.
We are teaching them how to encounter something new and work through it.
For puppies with working potential, that distinction is especially important.
The Litter Experience
Waiting for your puppy should be part of the experience—not eight weeks of wondering what is happening behind the scenes.
Once the puppies arrive and families join the litter, we share their development through our private Facebook group, including regular photos, videos, developmental updates, and a much more complete look at the litter than what appears publicly on our website.
You'll get to watch personalities emerge, see the puppies experience new things, follow their growth, and begin learning about them long before selection day.
At approximately six weeks, we also hold our Puppy Party, giving families an opportunity to meet the litter and spend time with the puppies before temperament testing and final selections.
The goal is for you to arrive at puppy-selection day already feeling like you've been part of their story.
Service Dog Prospects
We expect this pairing to produce puppies worth evaluating for service-dog work.
Whiskey's proven history as a sire of service dogs gives us additional confidence in the pairing, while Andee contributes the calmer, people-oriented temperament and lower prey drive we particularly wanted on the Golden Retriever side.
Still, service-dog placement is never made from pedigree alone.
We watch these puppies throughout their development and formally temperament test them at approximately seven weeks. We are looking at the individual traits that matter for the work being considered, including human focus, motivation, confidence, resiliency, energy, intensity, prey drive, environmental sensitivity, touch tolerance and the puppy's ability to recover and continue working.
A puppy can come from an excellent service-dog breeding and still tell us that a different life would suit them better.
When a family comes to us specifically for a service prospect, temperament and suitability take priority over color, gender or appearance.
Temperament Testing & Puppy Selection
Formal temperament evaluations take place at approximately seven weeks old, with puppy selections following around 7½ weeks.
By then, our recommendations aren't based on a single test. We have spent nearly two months living with these puppies and watching how they respond to everyday life.
The temperament evaluation gives us another structured way to look at traits including:

Families receive their puppy's temperament information before selections are finalized, and we help interpret what those traits are likely to look like in real life.
We want families choosing with their eyes open—not simply choosing the puppy whose photograph they liked best.
We reserve the right to steer a family away from a puppy when we believe another puppy would provide a substantially better match.
Finding the Right Match
Our placement process starts before the puppies are born.
We want to understand what everyday life in your home actually looks like. Children, other dogs, cats or small animals, work schedules, activity level, previous dog experience, travel, training plans and long-term goals can all change what makes one puppy a better fit than another.
For companion homes, we are looking for the puppy whose natural temperament fits comfortably into that family's life.
For working and service homes, we look more critically at the specific traits the dog will need for the intended job.
There isn't one "best" puppy in a litter.
There is a puppy who is better suited to you.
Going Home Mid-December
Andee and Whiskey's puppies are expected to be ready for their families in mid-December.
Before leaving us, puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary care and vaccinations, are microchipped, and go home with their individual veterinary records and puppy materials.
Families also receive information for activating 30 days of Trupanion coverage, and our contract requires a veterinary examination within 72 hours of going home.
Most importantly, our support doesn't stop at pickup.
We remain available to our families throughout the life of their dog, whether the question comes during the first week home or years later.
Reserving an Andee × Whiskey Puppy
Reservations are available to approved families and secure a selection position within the litter rather than a specific puppy.
We do not assign puppies at birth.
Families have the opportunity to watch the litter develop through our private litter group, where we share frequent photos, videos and updates. After temperament testing, families receive the information needed to make a much more informed decision, along with our placement recommendations.
Deposits are fully transferable to a future litter if timing, availability or the puppies born do not provide the right match.
For families seeking a service-dog prospect, we strongly encourage flexibility regarding color and gender so that temperament can drive the final decision.
